     This handbook is for coaches, parents, students or anyone else that is involved in extra-curricular activities.  This policy manual will give you the guidelines you need to hand most situations that might arise during the sports season.  Supplemental informational publications may be provided to help clarify the procedures outlined in this manual.

  • Head Coach - Important information on requirements for coaches and participants

    Their is a lot of paper work involved in being a coach or a player and it is the Head Coaches responsibility to make sure that it is all completed appropriately.  The attached file outlines all of the requirements that need to be completed.   Those requirements changed significantly for the 2013-2014 school year.   Please read and ensure that all coaches and participants complete these requirements.

  • Concussion - Return to Play Proceedures

    Once a player is determined to have suffered a concussion there is a specific procedure they must follow to be allowed to practice or play again.  This information should be provided to the parent/guardian of the player as soon as possible after the event.

  • Heat Stroke Prevention - NFHS Information

    Exertional Heatstroke (EHS) is the leading cause of preventable death in high school athletics. Students participating in high-intensity, long-duration or repeated same-day sports practices and training activities during the summer months or other hot-weather days are at greatest risk.

  • Volunteer Acknowlegement Form

    This form is for volunteers working with our student activities.  This form must be filled out and returned to the Activities Secretary in the high school office.  The district will use the information to cover our volunteers under our Workers Compensation and liability insurance.

  • Finger Print and Background Check Authorization

    All employees and volunteers working with students are required to be finger printed and to undergo a background check.  This form authorizes Frenchtown School district to do a back ground check.  You can have your finger prints done at the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office at 200 W. Broadway on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 1:00-4:00 pm.  The cost is $15.00 but the district will reimburse you for that when you submit the forms..  The forma and finger prints need to be returned to the District office or the high school Activities Secretary.  Remember the back ground check can take several weeks so do this well in advance of the season you are planning to coach.

  • Fundraising Proceedures

    We are required to following certain accounting procedures when we raise funds for our activity programs.  The head coach is responsible for ensuring that these procedures are followed.

  • Fundraiser Approval Form

    ALL fund raising activites must be approved through the district office.  It does not matter whether it is a donation of materials, equipment, or money if it has to be approved BEFORE ANYTHING IS ORDERED!   Coaches and/or directors should use this form to submit a fund raising activities/donations for approval.   We are required to maintain equity and are responsible to our Board of Trustees for ALL items purchese by or for the district regardless of who makes the purchase or the source of the funding. The form can be filled out on the computer and submitted to the office.

  • Accident/Incident Report

    Any injuries that occur during  extra-currcular participation need to be reported to the office.   It does not matter that when or where it happens if a student is injured the a report is required.  Forward the form to the Activities Director.
