Welcome to my web site. I am excited to have the opportunity to meet your family and work with your child.  First grade is an exciting place for children and I am dedicated to making it the best opportunity possible for you and your family. I completely enjoy inspiring the desire to learn into children.

    Biography

I was born in the old Saint Patrick's hospital in Missoula, Western Montana has always been my home.  I have lived in the Frenchtown Valley for 35 years.  I am happily married to Mr. Hedrick and have been for 30 years.  We have a daughter and son in law and two granddaughters.   We also have son who works over near Jackson, Montana.
    Class Description(s)
We have a wonderful reading program called "READ WELL".  The children also have a challenging curriculum in math, social studies, science, character education/social skills, health and language arts.  The children have weekly classes in library, physical education, music, computer technology and art.

The most rewarding thing about being in the classroom is showing children how to learn.  It is so amazing to watch children empower themselves to be good readers.

I change my classroom design every year and always do things a bit different.  Every year, the children teach me new things and new ways to help them.  I love coming to school every day.
I hope families will look for the beautiful art projects coming home.
I love to have volunteers in the classroom and we enjoy seeing Grandpa Dave every Friday.  If you have time and would like to have fun with children, please contact me and come in.
