Welcome to the Frenchtown K-6 Library.  We encourage reading for information and fun.
We have two library-media teachers, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Nelson.
We offer weekly classes to our K-5 students and we check-out books throughout the day.

I joined Frenchtown K-12 School District in 2000.  I started teaching 3rd grade.  After several years I was placed in 5th grade and then 4th grade.  I later spent five years as a K-6 Title 1 Math Teacher.  I moved to the library in the school year 2011-2012.

I co-teach with Mrs. Evans and teach grades 1, 2, and 4.  First grade enjoys a story each week and learn about the library.  They also learn how to be a responsible library patron.  Grades 2 enjoy a story each week and also learn the different genres and how to be successful reading chapter books.  The last quarter of the year, 2nd graders learn to use our online card catalog.  The fourth grade students continue their research skills, learned in 3rd grade, by doing a research project using their google accounts.

    Hobbies and Interests:

When not teaching, I enjoy travel, gardening, bike riding, and spending time with my husband, Dale and our toy poodles, Gus and Molly.
