Please do one worksheet per day. If  you know the touchdots, please use them as they will help tremendously. Your work will get done faster!

The stories are getting more challenging and longer, please break each lesson into chunks. Read the words, then the words with the underlined sound-read the sound first, then the whole word. Read your story outloud 2 times (this will help when answering the questions). Do the worksheet. If you don't know the answer, you will need to go back to the story to find the answer. Reread the story outloud 2-3 more times.

Do one lesson per day. Please read the words at the beginning, then read the words with the underlined sounds-doing the underlined sound first, then the whole word. The lessons are starting to get more challenging and longer. You may want to break each lesson into smaller chunks.

Read one story per day. For the first time you read it, read it aloud with an adult. The second time you read it aloud independently. Do the worksheets. Then read the story aloud 2-3 more times. Do this each day for each story.

  • Spelling Grade 2

Posted by Gail Shepard on 3/30/2020 8:00:00 AM

I did get spelling sent out this week, BUT it involves the parent in teaching the lesson. As you teach the lesson, it will tell you word for word what to say, what the students write on their worksheet etc.  The students are not going to be able to do this on their own as it is a direct instruction curriculum. I also sent a word list and two spelling sheets with 10 lines on it. I practice words over and over through the week. I give a pretest on Thursday. If the student misses 1 word or lesss, they do not have to do the spelling test on Friday. If they miss more than one, they have the opportunity to practice until Friday. I give that test and use that score.

! have sent lessons, story problems and addition and subtraction. The pages are pretty self explanatory, however, if you know the touch dots, use them and your life will be much easier! You do not haave to do the add/subtraction worksheets in one setting. Just make sure you do a little each day.
