    I grew up in Corvallis, Montana and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1987. I attended the University of Montana in Missoula and graduated with a degree in Health and Physical Education. I began my professional career as a Personal Trainer in Missoula working in that field for 10 years. I then decided to return to the university to obtain my K-12 teaching certification. I began teaching and coaching at Frenchtown High School in 1997.  In 2000 I again returned to the university to obtain my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  Since then I have earned an additional 45 credits with an emphasis in Health Education and Special Education.  I am married and have 1 cat and 4 horses. I enjoy lots of activities that keep me in shape and get me outside.  
    Class Description(s)
    Health Education for 9th graders
    This is a semester long required class that focuses on an introductory level of understanding in the following areas of Health: Physical Health, Mental Health, Emotional Health, and Social Health. Students will be expected to apply the information learned to their own health, the health of their families, and to the health of their communities.
    Health Education for 10th graders
    This is a semester long required class that focuses on an advanced level of understanding that builds upon what they learned during their 9th grade semester of Health. 
    Personal Fitness for 11th and 12th graders
    This is a semester long elective class that focuses on how to develop an individual exercise and nutrition plan that will be useful not only during high school, but also as an adult in the future.  It is geared to those students who aren't currently involved in physical activity on their own time outside of the school day and/or those that want to learn more about exercise and nutrition.
