     Hello All,
     
       My name is Mr. Blake Cohlhepp. I am one of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Physcial Education/ Health teachers here at Frenchtown Middle School as well as one of the assistant coaches for high school football and high school track. This is my fifth year here at Frenchtown and I  love being apart of this awesome community and school. I was born and raised in Butte, Montana and attended the University of Montana Western where I played football from 2009 to 2013. I majored in Physical Education with a minor in Special Education. I wanted to become a teacher because both of my parents were teachers so the apple didn't fall far from the tree. My ultimate goal is to become teacher of the year in either field of study. I am thankful to the Frenchtown School District for giving me the opportunity to work with amazing students and I hope to teach in this District for a long time.     The Physical Education team at Frenchtown is working to provide you with resources to help you stay physically active and healthy while our schools are closed. We will also be assigning a Monday Health activity/assignment just like if we were in regular school.

    In order to meet physical education goals during this time, students must be physically active for 60 minutes a day during the week. Understand this doesn't mean you have to be physically active for 60 minutes all at one time.  You can do multiple activities throughout the day to get your daily recommended 60 minutes of physical activity. 

     Below you will find a list of activities and ideas for staying physically active or come up with your own!! Be creative!! We will also be sharing video links for at home workouts too.

    Class Description(s)
    I teach students at Frenchtown Middle school a variety of team based games. We first go over the rules and fundemental skills a student needs to play the game. We strive to develop good team building habits in our students to help them prepare our for the next stage after they leave Frenchtown Middle School. We also do 6 health lessons every quarter for only 7th and 8th grade students. We believe that by teaching health lessons will give our students a broader knowledge of topics that they will face for the rest of thier lives. We encourage our students strive to be better everyday and want to see them break down personal barriers as they grow and mature into young adults and take the lessons they learned from us and apply it to real world situations.
