• GO BRONCS!!

     Hello All,

My name is Mr. Cohlhepp. I am the 5th and 6th grade Special Education teacher here at Frenchtown Intermediate. This is my first year here at Frenchtown and I am excited to be apart of this awesome community and school. I was born and raised in Butte, Montana and attended the University of Montana Western. I majored in Physical Education with a minor in Special Education. I wanted to become a teacher because both of my parents were teachers so the apple didn't fall far from the tree. My ultimate goal is to become teacher of the year in either field of study. I am thankful to the Frenchtown School District for giving me the opportunity to work with amazing students and I hope to teach in this District for a long time. If you have any questions for me please send an e-mail to BlakeCohlhepp@ftsd.org or contact me at 626-2622. Thank you.

    Class Description(s)
I teach a modified curriculum of reading and math to both 5th and 6th grade students. We also go over written expression. We strive to help students learn basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division. We also work with time, money, measurements, and fractions to name a few. For reading we go over word fluency and accuracy along with doing continuous timed reading segments. With more practice at reading we believe that it will help the students improve in both fluency and accuracy. For written expression we teach students to tap in to their creative side and write about topics that interest them. While having them write about their topic we want all the students to understand proper indentation, grammar, and punctuation.
