    Biography

    Dear Parents and/or Guardians,

Greetings and welcome to 6th grade!! I am super excited to enter my 5th year in Frenchtown teaching 6th grade.  I also serve as a High School Boys’ Basketball and Football coach and help with Junior High Track in the spring.  My name is Brandon Robbins and prior to Frenchtown, I spent two years teaching 3rd grade in Meeteetse, WY, and also served as the Head Boys’ Basketball coach.  Originally from Columbus, MT, I have four brothers and come from educational roots.  I played college basketball and earned degrees at Miles Community College and the University of Jamestown.  I also recently earned a Master’s degree from the University of Montana.  I am an avid sports fan, with the Florida Gators being my favorite team. I also enjoy being outside, whether it's fishing, hiking, biking, running, golfing, or anything else fun and active.   I could not be happier or more excited to be living and doing what I’m truly passionate for in this part of Montana.

Although in a new building, our classes will still be reading, spelling, writing, calculating, discovering, and expanding their knowledge every day.  Science will integrated across difference disciplines of science and  revolves around the inquiry method related to areas of Earth, Life, and Physical Science.  We will also learn several systems of the body for biology/health related topics.  Students will also get to showcase other talents with their specialist teachers in art, P.E., band, choir, Spanish, and keyboarding.

My room holds the same expectations of the entire district of:  Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.  I also like to add Readiness to that list; as 6th grade is a big year for learning how to change classes and stay organized.  Our 6th grade team of teachers is awesome and we welcome any questions or concerns at any time, especially if in regards to the transition of the 6th grade to the Middle School.  If teacher, student, and parent work together, we can have an amazingly successful year, and I can’t wait for it to start!!   #GoBroncs

I will be using Google Classroom, which can be accessed on the hyperlink above.  I will primarily use it in conjuntion to my Google site, which is also linked.  Other announcements may be shared via the Remind app.  My code for that is @fh4663.  As these are unprecedented times, I have no doubt there will be questions and challenges.  Please contact me via Outlook or Google email or Remind.  Together, we can continue to develop and deliver academic content to ensure growth and learning by all Frenchtown students.

I will be available at the school from 8:30-11:30 am Monday-Friday and then available remotely from 11:30 am-3:30 pm.  I have posted on Google Classroom as of today (3-19-2020).  We still plan to complete Science Circus Projects and students who have missing or late work have until Wednesday of next week to get that in for credit.
