    Biography

Troy was born and raised in Shelby, Montana, and then attended the University of Montana where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Percussion, F-Horn and Voice.   In 2009, he completed a Master's of Music Education at the University of Montana.

In the fall of 2002, he was hired by the Frenchtown School District as a part time music teacher. Now he offers two high school choirs, one of the only AP Music Theory classes in the state of Montana, two percussion ensembles, 7th and 8th grade choir, and a musical theater class.  He also teaches multiple extra-curricular choirs, has a private teaching studio, and directs at least one school musical per year. Troy has had the honor of guest conducting and adjudicating music festivals all around Montana.

Even though his professional schedule is extremely busy, he finds time to spend with his beautiful wife, Anne. She also teaches private piano lessons with 20+ students from Frenchtown and Missoula. In addition, she accompanies all of Troy's choral ensembles, plays for the school musicals, and accompanies at Hellgate High School, C.S. Porter Middle School, and the University of Montana! "I couldn't do it without her..."
