    Welcome to the Frenchtown K-6 Library, where we encourage reading for information and enjoyment. With two librarians, Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Evans, we are able to offer weekly classes to our K-5 students and check-out books throughout the day.

    Biography
    I have an Elementary Education  degree from Western Montana College and a K-12 library endorsement. I have a Masters in Teaching from Grand Canyon University. I taught third grade for nine years in Townsend, Montana before coming to the Frenchtown School District. I am very happy to be in my current position as an Elementary Librarian at Frenchtown.
    I Teach K, 3, 5 Library Instruction
     Kindergarten: Share stories and learn library procedures for checking out books and using the library.
    3rd Grade: learn the organization of libraries with an emphasis on the non-fiction area; different genres in literature; and basic research skills
    5th Grade: continue to learn research skills using 5th grade curriculum in the areas of Social Studies and Science and the use of computer programs available to our students
