Frontage Road Construction Update

Good morning,

Frenchtown Frontage Road reconstruction is ongoing November 12-16, 2018.

Paving crews will continue finishing paving of the shared-use path and all private approaches. Work will be occurring only as dry conditions allow. Paving operations are not successful when wet conditions are present.

Pipe and drainage work will be completed throughout the week. During this time, crews will be crossing the roadway at various locations. Traffic control will be in pace.

Guardrail will also be installed throughout the project location.

Pilot cars will be moving drivers through the area where needed. Drivers are encouraged to be mindful of changing conditions and to be alert for workers. Fines double when workers are present.

The shared-use path will be closed to the public until further notice due to heavy equipment working in the area.

Pedestrian and cyclist traffic is advised not to use the Frontage Road in this area as an alternative route due to the loss of pavement. Heavy equipment is near and on the roadway which makes it unsafe for foot traffic.

The project hotline is also available during business hours by calling 406-207-4484. The Huson East webpage (http://www.mdt.mt.gov/pubinvolve/husoneast/) has additional information. To register for text updates, please text "HUSONEAST" to 41411.

Please let me know if there are questions or concerns at any point. I'm happy to help however I can.

Thank you for your time. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable weekend.

Best,

Katie Klietz
