Tomorrow is Unity in Community Day - wear your BRONC Gear. We are kicking off our Canned Food Drive and our Dry Food Domino Drive. Students are learning that when our community is healthy it too is a protective factor to living a healthy life. The K-3 are challenging ourselves to a DRY FOOD DOMINO DRIVE - our goal is to make one long domino in the hallways using the cereal boxes, pasta boxes, rice, hamburger helper, etc. 4-5 is doing Can-damonium and building pictures out of cans. Start sending in that shelf stable food - all food stays local!

Red Ribbon - RISE UP - Week starts tomorrow in the K-5

Students will be learning about and practicing affirmations and self confidence boosters by giving themselves affirmations. Students will learn that affirmations begin with the statement, “I AM….” finish with a positive, affirming word - I AM BRAVE! I AM HEALTHY! Affirmations are a great protective factor against alcohol and drug misuse.

It’s Time for SOCK-tober
What is SOCK-tober?
On the Frenchtown K-5 South Campus we are working together as a community to RISE UP and support our local families who could benefit from new socks. This is a donation of new socks only. Please consider donating the new socks in a variety of sizes from kids to adults.
All new socks collected will be distributed to the families that we serve at Christmas time. The majority of the socks will stay local. After our local families have received their sock donation, our clothing closets in each school will have their sock supply replenished. ANY socks leftover will be given to the local YWCA shelter and the Poverello Center in Missoula. That’s a lotta sock benefit!!!
When will the SOCK-tober event be hosted?
Great question! It starts right now and will end October 22nd. Just three and a half weeks of SOCK-tober fun!
Where can I donate the socks?
Send them with your K-5 student and they can distribute into the SOCK BOX in their respective grade hallways.
If you have any questions, be sure to reach out to your respective counselor: Miss Sadie, 3-5 School Counselor, Mrs. America, K-2 School Counselor, Miss Maizie and Miss Cohen, Counseling Interns.
Let’s Rock this Sock Drive and RISE UP!
