Frenchtown School District hosted a Veterans Day celebration on the K-5 Campus where community members attended a 2nd grade flag march from King Ranch Golf Couse to Frenchtown Intermediate School. At the Intermediate School Veterans, parents and community members joined for an assembly where Mr. Meyer and University of Montana President/Veteran Seth Bodnar addressed the community. The ceremony was filled with music from the Frenchtown High School Choir, 2nd-5th Grade Music department and the High School Band. All music was to honor our Veterans and thank them for their service. Also, Rod George from Frenchtown American Legion and Staff Sergeant Reeves presented the MIA/POW Memorial. Thanks to John Amen and Sophia Walker for being the Master or Ceremonies for the event. Most of all thank you to all our Veterans across the country for your service!
Big congrats to our Bronc Volleyball team on their second place finish at the Western A Divisional Tournament! They will be heading to Bozeman for the state tournament this week. Their first game will be Thursday at 2:00 vs. Lockwood. Good luck Broncs!
Bronc Football takes on Havre tomorrow for a quarter final playoff game at Frenchtown High School. Gates will open at 11:30. Concessions will be available at 12:30. Please note, activity passes will not be valid for any post season game. The first 30 high school students to arrive that are registered on the app will receive free entry thanks to our amazing Booster Club! Otherwise, entry fees are $10 for an adult and $8 for a student. Congratulations to Ryann Evans and Addie Sant, they have been selected as the November “Elk Students of the Month,” and will be among those included in those considered for “Elk Student of the Year” recognition at the end of this school year. The students are selected by their teachers and counselors based on academic excellence, community service, school involvement and leadership.

In Montana, when a school bus route includes a bus stop that requires a school child to cross a roadway, the school bus must be equipped with an extended stop arm that partially obstructs the roadway. The board of trustees shall approve each school bus stop that requires a school child to cross a roadway.
Camp time! As we head into winter, our Bronc boys and girls basketball teams are gearing up for another season. Drivers must stop when a school bus's stop arm is extended. The greatest risk to children is when they are boarding or exiting the bus, not while riding it.
HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS- Registration is now open. If your student is interested in participating, please register at https://schools.snap.app/ftsd-athletics . If your child participated in a fall sport, you will still need to log in and select the activity they would like to join for winter. A valid physical must be on file in the office before tryouts.
Per Montana Code, not obeying the School Bus stop sign results in:
for a first offense, a fine of not less than $500 or more than $1,000, a sentence of community service of not less than 50 hours or more than 100 hours, or both.
for a second offense, a fine of not less than $1,000 or more than $2,000, a sentence of community service of not less than 100 hours or more than 200 hours, or both.
for a third or subsequent offense, a fine of not less than $3,000 or more than $5,000, a sentence of imprisonment for a term of not less than 30 days, or both.
