Ms. Gentry had guest speakers from the Back Country Horsemen in her Public Lands class this morning. All of them have taken groups in the Bob Marshall Wilderness (as well as other wilderness areas). They gave a lot of wonderful information as to a career in horse guiding. It was fun to see some of the students who have experience with horses perk up when they heard they could potentially make a living at doing what they love. :-)

On Friday, May 12 the 6th-graders in the middle school invited the 1st-graders over to share some excellent work they had produced and to play games. One of the things they shared was an original story that the 6th-graders wrote from a picture book with no words, so they had to write the story that went along with it. They also shared their sidewalk chalk stories, planets they created after reading A Wrinkle in Time, and played an addition relay math game together. Overall, it was an amazing day of fun that both groups will not forget and it left everyone with a smile on their face! Thank you 1st-grade teachers for being so willing to venture over to the north campus!
