Frenchtown Developmental Screening is scheduled for Monday, September 16th at the Frenchtown Elementary School for Children birth through 5 years of age residing in the Frenchtown School District. Please note this is not a preschool readiness test, but a screening for Potential Developmental Delays. Screening is conducted in the areas of Speech/Language, Hearing, Vision, Knowledge/Reasoning, and Motor Skills. Assessment is comprehensive and usually takes 60 to 90 minutes. If you have any concerns regarding delays in any of these developmental areas, please call Jennifer Demmons, the Special Services Coordinator for the Frenchtown School District, at 626-2775 to schedule an appointment.
Frenchtown 4H students did a fantastic job raising animals for show and auction at the Missoula County Fair. The auction is set for this Saturday if you are trying to fill your freezer this year or if you just want to walk around and checkout all the animals, they will be there the rest of the week! Nice job Frenchtown 4H!
If your high school student is planning to participate in any fall sports (football, volleyball, soccer, golf, cross country, or cheer), please attend the parent meeting on August 13th in the high school commons. Incoming 7th Grade Reminder: Montana State Law requires any child enrolled in a Montana public school must have the following before entering the 7th grade:
Tdap booster (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) (Tdap is required to protect against whooping cough)
You will need to have your child immunized before the start of the 7th grade year. Please provide the office with documentation from the health provider of the booster and the date it was given. You may FAX documentation to the middle school office at (406) 626-2654.
Exemptions to this law for religious or medical reasons will require an exemption form signed by the parent/guardian (they no longer have to be notarized). Exemption forms may be obtained at the school office or on the school website/after Monday, August 5, 2024.
