Bring on the A La Carte line in 6th grade! Time to start welcoming the 5th graders to FMS! Lunch and recess transition activities today gearing up for the 2024-2025 school year!

Both boys and girls basketball schedules have had changes made. All games that have had changes are listed:

Frenchtown was well represented at the regional FLL robotics competition Saturday. Frenchtown Robotics -- All 4 teams competed well, with the 8th grade team, Shark-cassos, and the 5th grade MNM's qualifying for the state competition on February 3rd in Bozeman. The 7th grade team, Nuclear Potatoes, were just outside of qualifying. They only advanced 14 teams from 38. The 4th grade team, Fire Hacksters had one of the best rookie performances in the tourney. All 4 teams had great projects, besides the robot game.

Congrats to Bridger Goris, Charlie Merritt, Sierra Ellis, Ryu Capacillo, Meredith Howard, Brayden Sullivan (alt), and Willa Sallee (alt)! These students will represent Frenchtown Schools at the Missoula County Spelling Bee in February!

Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. I want to provide an update on the recent threat situation that we addressed earlier this evening.
As mentioned in the previous email, we were alerted to a threatening email sent to school districts across Montana, affecting at least 75 districts. Our response, in collaboration with the Missoula County Sheriff's Office, involved a thorough search of both the interiors and exteriors of our buildings. I am pleased to report that nothing out of the ordinary was found during this search.
Further, it has been communicated to us that the threat is not considered credible. Personally, I did not receive the email, and it appears that only a few members of our staff did.
As of now, unless we receive guidance to the contrary from law enforcement, we plan to proceed with holding school today. I would like to express my gratitude to our School Resource Officer program and the Missoula County Sheriff's Office for their swift and supportive actions throughout this process. In response to this incident, there will be an increased police presence on our campuses, with our School Resource Officer actively present.
The U.S. Attorney's office, the State Attorney, and the Governor's Office have been notified and are involved in addressing this matter.
The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community remain our top priorities. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as needed.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for your time.
