Devon Winkler, a 7th Grader at FMS has had an awesome 1st semester! Devon has been caught "Being a Champ!" He is rocking 7th grade academically and behaviorally! Devon also can solve a "Rubik's Cube," in 30 seconds. Devon is the son of Amanda Peterson and Will Winkler.

Check out what our Culinary Arts Class created! Students in Culinary Foods 1 class recently showcased skills learned throughout the semester by participating in their very own "Cupcake Wars." Not only did students have to work around a chosen theme, but they also created a flavor profile, demonstrated piping and decorating skills, and designed a display for their cupcakes. They were able to demonstrate what they learned, express their creativity, and have fun along the way. The high school is excited to welcome Anna Feusner as our new administrative assistant! Here is a little bit information to help you get to know Anna! Hi, my name is Anna Feusner, and I am excited to be the new Secretary for Frenchtown High School. My husband and I, along with our two boys, Greyson (2nd grade), Riley (4th grade), moved to Frenchtown in June 2022 from Wilsall, MT. As a family we enjoy camping, boating and horseback riding. I am really looking forward to getting to know all your students and parents as I step into this role. Go Broncs!

Where are they now? Flashback Friday! This 2008 Frenchtown graduate is an account manager/crisis stabilization caseworker. What has Jessica Maze been up to since graduating? Well, she got married and has three beautiful kids. Professionally, she received her Associates in Business Administration and has her CNA license. Jessica is complimentary of the teachers she had while attending Frenchtown, she said that they always made it feel like it was her home away from home. Any advice Jessica for our current students? She encourages students to enjoy their time is school, because they will miss it later. She also says, “Learn everything you can and push yourself. You will never regret giving something your all.” Sound advice for all of us Jessica. Thanks for sharing a bit of your story with us!

They have been selected as the January “Elk Students of the Month,” and will be among those included in those considered for “Elk Student of the Year” recognition at the end of this school year. The students are selected by their teachers and counselors based on academic excellence, community service, school involvement and leadership.

We have all been told at one time or the other and probably many times, but Christmas is for giving rather than receiving. The Laughing Grizzly Restaurant gave 318 K-12 students a zero lunch balance. Thanks to the Laughing Grizzly for the generosity this Christmas season. The season brings joy and happiness and sometimes sadness. The Laughing Grizzly hopes to bring some brightness to Frenchtown families this holiday season. Thank you again to the Laughing Grizzly!

High School Wrestling @ Columbia Falls has been CANCELED due to dangerous weather conditions.

NHS students will be distributing FREE clothing to community members in need TONIGHT from 5:00-6:30 pm at the high school. There is an abundance of clothing in a variety of sizes! Please follow the signs directing traffic towards the food/toy drive.

It’s Throwback Thursday – Where are they now? This 2012 Frenchtown graduate and Montana Lead Conference essay winner, Ana Torres, has been working in marketing! So, Ana, what are some of your highlights you have experienced after graduating from FTSD? She has been blessed to have had three kids! Ana is going back to school this January for accounting and has picked up playing rugby again. Be careful Ana! Ana fondly recalls the friendships she cultivated while attending FTSD. She does have some advice to current FTSD students…she says to not take the things that happen in high school so serious, it is just high school and you have an entire life ahead of you. Sound advice from Ms. Torres who had the honor of being asked to be a speaker at the Montana Lead Conference a few years after winning her award. Thanks for participating Ana!

We hope each of you have a nice, peaceful, and safe Thanksgiving!

Dear Parents/Guardians, As we move forward after the Thanksgiving break the Parent pickup loop will look a little different. We are asking that all parents pull forward in the loop to allow for both loops to fill. This will help us to get kids into cars effectively and efficiently. At the end of the day, please come make your way to the zone listed on the diagram below to pick-up your student. If you need to have a conversation with a teacher in the loop, there is parking in the lot prior to entering the loop where you can walk up and talk as well as limited parking in the middle of the loop where you can park and walk to the sidewalk. Either Mr. Devins/ Mrs. Knight/ Ms. Vinton will be standing near the Elementary School and as Elementary teachers see cars approaching that they recognize in the Elementary loop, they will start their kid walking back towards Mr. Devins to meet the parent/guardians vehicles. If you do not see your child outside when you are in the loop, please pull all the way forward past the Intermediate zone. Also, please do not drive on the wrong side of the road to get to the loop, please be patient at the end of the day. Finally, please leave space for the small bus to pull of the loop. If we can all follow these steps, it will make for an easier pickup at the end of the day. Thanks in advance for your cooperation during this change.
